A few weeks ago, my friend Luke, the college counselor at KAPPA International High School, invited me to photograph an event that he was planning for his seniors heading to college. If you grew up in an area where athletics was big, you're probably familiar with the idea -- high school seniors playing, say, football, sign a letter of intent to play for an NCAA team at a big event often covered by the media.
Being good enough to play college ball is no easy feat, but neither is getting into college in the first place, which is why Luke wanted to arrange a "college signing day" event for his graduating Kappa seniors. I was able to capture some great group photos, as well as individual headshots for those who wanted them, a few of which you can see below.
High school seems like a world away now, but it was really nice to feel that kind of hyper energy again! Hope you enjoy the photos.
