Last Monday, I had the wonderful gastronomic privilege of visiting my friend Edward's new restaurant, Zai Lai Chinese Grille, which launched to the public for the first time as a pop-up in the East Village on the heels of a successful Kickstarter campaign. Besides taking photos, I also consumed two entrees worth of lion's head meatballs with bok choy over rice, all washed down with a guava drink. It doesn't get much better than that!
If you're in the mood for some healthy, organic, sustainable Chinese food, head down to Zai Lai's second pop-up today, Monday the 21st, from 11:30 AM until 9 PM (or until food runs out). 224 E 10th St is where you'll find the deliciousness. More details here!
See if you can make it through the pictures below without needing to wipe the drool from your mouth... :)
