Diane and Chris met and fell in love in New York City, but when it came time for the two to get married, the obvious choice was to head west to Chicago, where Diane was born and raised. I had never visited Chicago until last month (O'Hare and Midway aside), but I'm glad I finally got the opportunity.
While I crashed with Chris and another groomsman on Friday night, I headed to Diane's childhood home early on Saturday morning to catch the "getting ready" before the bride and groom met for a beautiful first look. The wedding took place at the church Diane grew up in, a really nice touch in a day and age when the ease of travel and moving means that it's the rare wedding venue with that kind of history. Afterwards, everyone headed to downtown Chicago for the reception before things wrapped up with a mad dash through a gauntlet of sparklers!
Congrats again, my friends, and I'm so honored to have had the opportunity to document your special day.
